Rethinking The Definitions Of Creativity
 
			    
			If Banksy and a lawyer walk into a bar, there’s no way they could have anything in common, right? One’s a world-famous street artist, and the other deals with complicated twists of language and negotiation. There’s no way that lawyer could be a creative person, right?
The thing is, creativity is needed in all industries. There are creative thinkers in the medical profession, politics, in manufacturing — you name it, and there are some creative minds tackling the biggest challenges of our time.
What is creativity?
Typically, when we talk about creativity or creative people, we view it as synonymous with artists, musicians, dancers and writers. Oxford language defines the word creativity as “the use of imagination or original ideas.” It’s synonymous with inventiveness and innovation. Doctors, lawyers, CEOs, entrepreneurs — they all need to be creative to find solutions to their problems.
